William Croft played an important role in the British Post Office established by the British Military Mission in Vladivostok, when the Allies were supporting the White Russians against the Bolsheviks. This became known as the Forgotten Army. When Croft left aboard an Allied vessel he brought away a very rare Vladivostok handstamp. Many years after his death his grand daughter placed it in our care where it is on display.
