Not salvaged mail, but a letter concerning a wreck, H.M.S Ramillies. She was wrecked on Bolt Tail, South Devon in March 1760. The letter was written from Plymouth Dock on the 15th March 1760. Its contents relate to the loss of all but 25 of the ship's company of 900. The Captain was Wittewrong Taylor RN. This letter was addressed to Scotland and was received there on 17th March as indicated by the '17/MR' Bishop mark.
